stories and charts

i'm a twentysomething earning my stripes (and degree) in graphic design.
from texas, to new york city, back to texas. this is my personal blog.

back to school.

today’s the first day of class here at texas state university.
all the new students don’t know how to drive or where to go, traffic is disgusting, and the parking situation is horrific for those who live off-campus. aka: me.

but overall, it’s not too bad.
a new class of freshmen on campus = free stuff everywhere!
and my monday/wednesday schedule is almost ridiculous. i don’t have class until 12:30 (design seminar) and my second class of the day is bowling. haha.

but, because of my late starting schedule… i’m sitting here in the office. working from 8-noon. go figure. i need the hours, i guess.

it’s nice being the only one in the office because i can yawn as much as i want and no one can judge me.
and i get to play whatever music i want. right now, my manchester orchesta pandora station is playing the likes of radical face, the shins, and yeah yeah yeahs. yes please.

my roommates and i are also going to our first exercise class today here at the rec.
it’s called “cats crunch” and it’s a 15-min-a-day abs class.
now, i don’t know a whole lot about exercise… but i figure if a class is only going to be 15 minutes long, it’s going to be an INTENSE 15 minutes.

so.. i’m terrified, but my abs need all the help they can get.
i can see it now: we’re going to be those girls. the ridiculous ones who crack jokes the whole time and interrupt everyone’s workouts with failed attempts to stifle our laughter.
i’m okay with this.

i guess that’s all i really have to update on…
oh! and my birthday is in exactly one week.

winner, winner, chicken dinner.
