i think i’m regressing back to childhood.
we’re watching the parent trap and eating biscuits with grape jelly for dinner.

i enjoy cooking for my friends.
we had 12 or so of our dearest over for lunch today. i made my aunt-who-isn’t-really-my-aunt’s delicious homemade spaghetti and meatballs recipe.
and kathryn brought potatoes, and ashley & garrett brought salad, and people brought cookies, and french bread, and root beer, and pringles.
the leftovers are headed to 506. lucas is sick, glynn is m.i.a, and brett’s in the studio...

these days, it seems that the only place i feel comfortable is my room. i feel like i’ve spent more time in my bed lately, than out of it. i’ll just sit. and let some of my favorite men sing to me: damien rice, andy hull, andrew bird, justin vernon, sam beam..
sometimes i work on the things i should. mostly i just sit.
my head hurt all day.

this is no longer okay with me. i need to step up. i am blessed that school is my only real responsibility, so what is wrong with me? i’m being an entitled little brat.

The time has come for colds and overcoats. We’re quiet on the ride, we’re all just waiting to get home. I need the smell of summer, I need its noises in my ears. I wrote more postcards than hooks.
