austin has yet to be rescued. leaving dallas soon. will probably stop by.
gov. rick perry, lance armstrong.. WHY aren’t you doing anything?
as fathers and human beings, you should be concerned about this.
The opposite of love is not hate; it is indifference.

THE RESCUE.
today, i am in dallas.
i am walking two miles writing letters to the government and joining with thousands of others across the country
to be the voice of invisible children. the voice of those children brutally abducted from their homes and forced to fight a war that has no cause, no reason.
they must be rescued. we will have our voices heard. join us.

i’m really glad i deactivated my facebook.
it’s very freeing. sure, i feel a little disconnected. but the people who really count know how to (and do) get in touch with me elsewhere.
you should try it.
seems like it’s one step forward and two steps back these days.
hmm.
taking a hiatus from facebook. at least until finals are over. it’s far too much of a distraction.
but i’ll still update this thang occasionally. never fear.

also, i’ve got the numero uno spot on “the tumblettes” directory page. thanks tumblr!
i like anything fruit punch/”red” flavored. kool-aid, fruit snacks, even rockstar energy drink.
currently, i’ve got some of this:
mmm.
some observations:
1. every time i walk by the Texas State President’s house on campus, it smells like disgusting lake water.
2. standing at the microwave, waiting for EasyMac is the longest 3 1/2 minutes of your life.
3. how is it possible that i got approximately 9 hours and 30 minutes of sleep and am still so tired? (not an observation, but still deserves to be on the list.)
4. i need a job this...
i am determined to ace this math test.
college algebra, you WILL NOT defeat me. nor will you, political science. or you, philosophy! drawing, you and your final project are intimidating me…
but art history, you and i are on good terms. thank you.
oh, praise the One who paid my debt
and raised this life up from the dead
home \ˈhōm\ noun -
1. a house, apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household. 2. the place in which one’s domestic affections are centered. 3. any place of residence or refuge. 4. a place where something flourishes, or is originally found.
my little brother is always so excited when i come home. my mom always talks about how she can tell that...
what i hope for in a sermon and a photograph and a painting is something that...
it’s easy to be miserable. being happy is tougher
- and cooler.

standing in line at starbucks, I see a older blind gentleman eating by himself. all around him are lively, busy, oblivious college students. he seems so lonely.
i think my heart just broke.
a young man just took his hand and is helping him find his way.
i thank God for my sight, my friends, and the kindness of strangers.
